Wokingham and District Beekeepers Association

Aims and Objectives
The Association exists to promote good beekeeping. One of our aims is to encourage new people into this fascinating craft and assist them by:

  • Providing contact with experienced beekeepers who can help newcomers
  • Running introductory courses at Association apiaries
  • Supporting and mentoring new members through their first year
  • Advising on the purchase of equipment and supplies
  • Providing a local association as a focal point for members
  • Educating members by holding weekly apiary meetings in the summer and monthly talks by experts in the winter.

      BIBBA Conference 2016
The 2016 BIBBA conference will be held on the Isle of Man from
      Tuesday 20th - Thursday 22nd September 2016.

Following on from the successful conference at Llangollen in September 2014
BIBBA have announced information on the BIBBA conference 2016.

Two streams, one to satisfy the core interests of BIBBA and concentrating on colony assessment, improvement and the rearing of queens for all levels; the other for general beekeeping, to help all beekeepers to understand their bees better and to encourage them to develop and improve their management techniques.

There will be something for everyone, whatever their interests, experience or knowledge. Information will appear on the BIBBA website as available. The conference is open to everyone, not only BIBBA members.
